A person in whose horoscope the Sun is placed in the 6th house will belong to a lower caste and will have many enemies. In the financial respect he will be well provided for. Sufferings from eye diseases await the owner of the horoscope, especially in his 20th year of life. With favourable aspects this may be avoided. The owner of the horoscope will show great interest in the practice of mantras and will strive to travel. Despite a restless mind and an ardent, irritable disposition, the Sun in the 6th house will bring this person a good reputation. Health may be expected only with a favourable conjunction of the lord of the 6th house. The owner of the horoscope will have many relatives and many enemies. If the lord of the 6th house is weak, victory over enemies is to be expected. The father of the owner of the horoscope will be sickly.
Comments:
The Sun is a royal planet, but the placement of the Sun in a dusthana speaks of birth in a lower caste. The 6th house means illnesses and enemies. The placement of the Sun in it will give diseases of the eyes and a large number of enemies. But the 6th house is also a house of upachaya, a house of profit and increase and, following the rule of the destruction of unfavourable characteristics with the placement of ruinous planets in the upachaya houses, one may speak with confidence of the attainment of fame and wealth. With a strong lord of the 6th house or with its favourable conjunction, robust health and a large number of dangerous enemies may be expected (since if the lord of the 6th house is strong, then its negative characteristic is strengthened, which causes the owner of the horoscope much trouble and evil from enemies). A weak lord of the 6th house brings illnesses, but also victory over enemies or even their absence. If the Sun is placed in the 6th house in its own sign of Leo, only good results may be expected, of course in the absence of any ruinous influences on the Sun.

“Brihat Jataka” — the owner of the horoscope will become powerful, but his enemies will be no less strong.
“Phaladipika” — fame, wealth, excellent personal qualities and victory over enemies await a person if the Sun in his horoscope is placed in the 6th house.
“Saravali” — the owner of the horoscope will be very passionate, ardent, powerful and wealthy and will become like a king, but he will possibly suffer from increased acidity of the stomach.
“Chamatkar Chintamani” — victory over enemies, wealth, and problems and anxieties on the part of the mother, relatives and animals are to be expected. Expenditures on friends or on the government are possible.
Note: All the classical texts share the opinion of the sutras regarding wealth and a good reputation, as well as poor health and the presence of strong enemies for the owner of the horoscope. These opinions should be considered in combination with the characteristics of the “Bhrigu Sutra”, which are more logical and astrologically correct.

The results of the placement of the Sun in the sixth house
If Surya is placed in the 6th Bhava, then the person will always be happy, strong, very courageous (valorous), will destroy his enemies, will possess a first-class (i.e. expensive) means of transport and will be a minister of the king.
Comments: Surya (the Sun) in the 6th Bhava (house), as a rule, causes misfortune to the person’s maternal uncle. The ancient astrologers consider such a placement unfavourable for the person’s horned cattle. If Surya is strong at the same time, then the person possesses energy and the strength to fight against illnesses (resistance, immunity). Besides this, the ancient authors of Vedic astrology connected the Sun in the 6th with an excellent means of transport, the post of minister to a king, happiness, recognition from a king and similar results.
According to Kalyana Varma, if Surya is in the 6th Bhava, then the person has strong digestion. As a rule, such a result has been noticeable.
If Surya is subject to strong ruinous influences, then it gives serious illnesses, for example heart disease, cancer or the like. If with this placement there is some favourable influence, then the person is subject to illnesses of a chronic character, but these illnesses do not kill (for example pains in the lower back, urinary diseases and so on).

Also at times incorrect proportions and sizes of the liver are observed. A disturbance of immunity, in its turn, increases the likelihood of viral and bacterial infections in the above-named organs.
Conclusion:
The placement of the Sun in the 6th house is not the best thing that may be in life, but if Jupiter and Mars are strong and well placed in the horoscope, then the person will manifest only the favourable qualities of the Sun.
In my experience, the placement of the Sun in the sphere of personal relations (the 6th, 7th, 8th houses) makes the person hard in family life and partnership. Although every product has its buyer, and a certain category of people is inspired by the isolation and cruelty of their partners.
