They have golden hands, which are able to create beauty. They may have more beautiful and successful younger sisters/brothers. The 3rd house is considered one of the less favourable houses for Venus. The 3rd house represents courage and strength of intention. Venus does not give strength of intention and courage as Mars and Saturn do. In communication they are tender, gentle and diplomatic. The 3rd house is the house of one's own efforts and hobbies, therefore Venus in it gives decisiveness, enthusiasm, musical and artistic abilities. The 3rd house is the house of creativity, therefore the master of the horoscope will be talented in art. Venus, as the indicator of speech, being in the house of literary creativity, will speak of a poetic gift. Favourable results will be observed in the case of Virgo or Aquarius rising, when Venus is the mistress of the 9th house. Being in the 3rd house in hostile signs and in the sign of its debilitation, it will not manifest the good indications of the 3rd house, but on the other hand it will bring the owner of the horoscope fortune, since from the 3rd house it will influence its own 9th house.

For rising Aquarius and Capricorn Venus is a yoga-karaka, a planet of strength, and its presence in the 3rd house improves its indications, especially in the case where the lagna is in Capricorn, since in that case Venus is exalted.

The 3rd house is the house of younger brothers, and Venus is a female planet, therefore it will give, rather, the birth of sisters than of brothers. Here it is appropriate to draw attention to the fact that all the ancient treatises were written for men. For women horoscopes were drawn up only in isolated cases, since it was considered that a woman should always be under the control, protection and guardianship of the father, then of the husband, and in the case of his death or infirmity, the responsibility for her passed to the eldest son. Occupying such a position, the woman shared the karma of the man.

“Phaladipika” — a person who has Venus in the 3rd house of the horoscope will be stingy, unloved by other people, deprived of happiness, wealth and a wife.

“Saravali” — wealth, stinginess and cowardice. The owner of the horoscope will be unfortunate, and the wife will command him.

“Chamatkar Chintamani” — the presence of brothers and sisters, an absence of happiness in children, a dislike of women, cowardice.

The results of the placement of Venus (Shukra) in the 3rd house

If the descendant of Bhrigu (that is, Shukra) is in the Bhava of the younger brother (that is, in the 3rd Bhava), then the person has a weak body, he is stingy, of bad behaviour, deprived of wealth, very sensual, voluptuous (excessively indulges his sexual desires), does harm to noble and delicate people and commits various bad deeds.

Comments: If Shukra [Venus] occupies the 3rd Bhava [house], then the person undoubtedly has some interest in art. If Shukra is in an unfavourable position or in the Rashi [sign] of debilitation, then the person is exceedingly sensual (voluptuous, excessively desiring sex) and inclined to be enchanted and driven mad (because of love) by any beautiful maiden. He loves pleasures and is full of energy. But if Shukra receives bad influences, then it will diminish the person's diligence or industriousness.
