Parashara Muni, one of the founders of Jyotish, says that Rahu is exalted in Taurus and Ketu in Scorpio. The result of the exaltation of the shadow planets may be wealth and renown; mystical abilities may manifest… The classical texts give no description of the placement of Rahu and Ketu in the signs of the zodiac. Since their nature is shadowy, Rahu and Ketu often take on the properties of the lords of the sign in which they are placed. In doing so one must look at how the lord of the sign in which Rahu and Ketu are placed is himself placed. Ketu in Scorpio points to the fact that in a past life the person constantly met with themes connected with this sign (the problem of death, of restoration, of losses, of separations, of the vicissitudes of fate, of chronic illnesses, of accidents, of sexuality, of the mysteries of life, of research, of journeys overseas, of unusual adventures and so on).
It is obvious that the past life of such people was full of various changes and transformations. Therefore it is quite natural that in this life the person strives for stability on the physical, mental and spiritual plane.

Rahu in his case manifested on the philosophical and spiritual plane, since it is placed in Aquarius in the Navamsha.
Another example is the well-known serial killer Theodore Bundy. In his case Rahu-Ketu were in the worst degrees of these signs. In the Navamsha Rahu fell into Cancer together with an afflicted Mercury, and Ketu fell into Capricorn with an exalted Mars. Even in the Rashi chart both dispositors of Rahu and Ketu are in materialistic signs.
Rahu in Taurus and Ketu in Scorpio: Ketu shows the past life. Ketu in Scorpio shows that in a past life the person passed along a hard road. Because of a wrong choice of path the person passed through humiliations and punishments. He experienced physical and mental pain. Rahu in Taurus says that in this life the person does not want to depend on other people's money, and that he strives to create a stable life.
Parashara Muni considers that Rahu is exalted in Taurus. All the authors agree that Rahu gives excellent results in Taurus. The person will easily be able to attain his material goals and accumulate a great fortune.
The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, was born when Rahu was in Taurus. Venus (the ruler of Taurus) was in Aries with Mercury and an exalted Sun under the aspect of Jupiter. That is, the dispositor of Rahu in his chart (Venus) was in a very strong position.
The former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was born when Rahu was in Taurus under the aspect of Jupiter. Venus (the dispositor of Rahu) was in Libra (in its own sign) in conjunction with the Sun and Mercury. Here the dispositor of Rahu (Venus) is in the sign of agreements and diplomacy. For happiness they need not only wealth but also recognition from society. They feed on the energy of praise and of compliments addressed to them, about their beauty, their ability to cook well, their generosity… They need to learn to determine their own priorities and what they need for joy, and to put these values first, regardless of recognition from others. Rahu and Ketu here are in signs ideal for them, which give a balance of material comfort and spirituality. They run a great risk of falling into a debt pit and having problems with creditors.
