With the placement of Buddha in the 3rd Bhava the person possesses the courage to be free from the restrictions of his relatives (independent of them), his heart is not pure, he is deprived of happiness, but successfully realises his plans by clever means.
Comments: Buddha [Mercury] in the 3rd Bhava [house] makes the person preoccupied with various affairs and questions, since he has a multitude of plans in his work and activity. Perhaps that is why the author spoke of the person’s reason and heart as impure. The common Karaka [significatorship] of Buddha and of the 3rd Bhava is method, means, device, plan, project. Therefore such a person possesses a talent for performing his work in an intellectual way and achieves success in what he does.
