Moon in Aries
Results given by the Moon in the sign of Aries
Both my experience and the classical texts say that such people love spicy food, suffer from diseases of the teeth, and travel a great deal (but usually by land, since they may feel a fear of water). Their spirit is cheerful; they are talkative, somewhat egoistic, self-assured, love rivalry, love communication with the other sex. They are inclined to arguments, but soften quickly. They do not possess a constant income and are the eldest among their brothers and sisters. They have a rounded shape of eye and a good complexion. These are popular people; they are inclined to wandering and are somewhat inconstant. They enjoy respect, own land and wealth; they possess considerable strength. (Tom Hopke)
Chandra in Mesha (the Moon in Aries)
The Moon in Aries. Strength, enthusiasm, spontaneity, cheerfulness, a love of travel and sport, a taste for excitement — these are the qualities with which the Moon in Aries endows a person. These people are inclined to rivalry and argument, are hot-tempered and at times aggressive, bold, hardy, active. They may be despotic, egoistic, rude, self-assured. They may have headaches and bad teeth (Saturn is debilitated in Aries); dangers from fire or accidents are possible. As a rule they are the eldest among their sisters or brothers. These are popular people who enjoy well-deserved respect. They own land and wealth, are inclined to change and are not distinguished by constancy. (Indubala)
The Moon in Aries: round eyes, an unbending nature, rash decisions and reactions, a passion for travel, independence, arrogance, ambition, quick-wittedness. Such a person cannot bear to be hindered. If the Moon is afflicted — recklessness. (Sri Govind Swarup Agarwal)
The Moon in Aries
Round and red eyes, consumes hot and light food, loves grains, is easily calmed, a traveller, passionate, thin knees, changeable wealth, brave, pleasing to women, a good servant, bad nails, a wound or scar on the head, proud, the chief among brothers, has the line of strength (shaktirekha) on the palm, capricious and afraid of water. (Varahamihira — «Brihat Jataka», 17.1)
When the Moon, the sign in which it is placed, and its ruler are strong, then the results indicated above are realised in full.
Commentary: B. S. Rao gives the following explanations. This interpretation applies in full in those cases where the Moon, the house in which it is placed, and the planet that rules it are all strong. If only two of these three factors are strong, the characteristics indicated will manifest only partly. If only one of these factors is strong, only traces of these influences will be noticeable. Finally, if all of them are weak, then we shall not notice any coincidence with the interpretations given, even to a small degree. (Varahamihira — «Brihat Jataka», 17.13)

RESULTS OF THE PLACEMENT OF CHANDRA IN MESHA
If Chandra is placed in Mesha, then the person will prosper in immovable property, will be devoid of kindness, will have sons, will be under the control of his wife and will attain renown through his astonishing courage (boldness).
Commentary: The Rashi [sign] in which Chandra [the Moon] is placed at the time of birth is called «Chandra-Lagna» (Chandra as the Lagna). In Hora Shastra [predictive astrology] the Chandra-Lagna is just as important as the Lagna; its analysis is very important for understanding a person's inner personality. If the Chandra-Rashi (Chandra-Lagna) is stronger than the Rashi of the Lagna, then most of the events of life will be determined precisely by it (that is, by the Chandra-Rashi). Since Chandra is the Karaka [indicator] of the mind, the soul and the heart, the qualities of the Rashi and the qualities of the ruler of the Rashi in which Chandra is placed will definitely be present in the person's mind in the form of emotions; this is represented by the character and qualities of the Chandra-Rashi and of the ruler of the Chandra-Rashi.
Therefore it is quite natural that as a consequence of the placement of Chandra [the Moon] in the Rashi Mesha [the sign Aries] the person will be astonishingly energetic and daring. Only energetic and courageous people are able to attain and enjoy immovable property, a wife and glory. If Chandra in this placement is aspected by Mangala [Mars], then the person will receive in full measure the qualities of Mangala and the comfort that Mangala gives.
