Jupiter in the 7th house
The results given by Jupiter in the seventh house of the horoscope
Jupiter in the 7th house: The person will have an intelligent, beautiful, kind, devoted wife, together with whom there will be a happy married life. Success will come to the person after marriage. He finds good partners in business. Jupiter from the 7th house sees the first house. This makes the person handsome, healthy, intelligent, successful. Garga Muni said that if there is Jupiter in the 7th house, the person will live with one wife. But, by my observations in modern society, not everyone manages this. All agree that an undamaged Jupiter will bring excellent results in all areas of a person's life. (Mahesh Dharmadasa)
Jupiter (Guru) in the 7th house. A good marriage partner, magnanimity, good health, many friends. People with such a placement of Jupiter are able to manage money well and to rise on the social ladder higher than their parents. Fortune awaits them in partnership business or in business connected with foreign countries. The receipt of money through the marriage partner is possible. (Indubala)
Jupiter in the 7th house: good health, a worthy partner, prosperity. The person surpasses the father in his qualities. Jupiter and Venus, ruling angular houses and placed in the 2nd or 7th house, become dangerous marakas. If Jupiter is in a kendra from the Lagna, the person will feel good in the middle of life. “Bhrigu Sutra” 5.35-37
Jupiter in the 7th house speaks of a restless mind and a high education. Great financial profits await the owner of the horoscope, and his wife will be educated, pious and devoted to her husband. If the lord of the 7th house is weak or is joined with Rahu, Ketu, Saturn or Mars, or is aspected by any of these planets, the owner of the horoscope will have illicit relations with women who are not his wives. When Jupiter is joined with benefic planets or is in its own sign or in the sign of exaltation, the master of the horoscope will feel a deep attachment to his wife and will receive wealth through her. He will be happy and will obtain great honour in his 34th year of life.
Comments:
Being in a kendra, Jupiter gives excellent results in the sphere of education, finances and marital relations. With a placement in the signs of Sagittarius, Pisces and Cancer hamsa yoga is formed. Doubts may arise regarding the favourable results with Jupiter in Cancer, since the rising sign will be Capricorn, and Jupiter will become the lord of the 3rd and 12th houses.
This doubt is dispelled by Kalidasa in his famous treatise “Uttara Kalamrita” in the following shloka: “Jupiter, owning the 3rd and 12th houses, will bring great good to the owner of the horoscope. The same is true if Jupiter is the lord of the 8th house or when it occupies the 8th house” (an extract from shloka 9, khanda 4).
Besides hamsa yoga, in the case of Jupiter being in Sagittarius and Pisces it becomes the lord of the 7th and 10th, and of the 4th and 7th houses respectively and forms the strongest dhana yoga, the result of which will be wealth. From the 7th house Jupiter influences the 1st, 3rd and 11th houses, giving the owner of the horoscope health, strength, a love of travel, influence in society and good friends.
The “Brihat Jataka” describes hamsa yoga in the following way: “The feet of the one born will be adorned with the auspicious signs of the conch, the lotus, the fish and the ankusha. He will be handsome, loved by others, virtuous, just and pure in mind”. The signs listed, formed by the lines on the feet, indicate, like hamsa yoga, a “divine markedness”, a high mission in this life. In the Vedas it is described in detail with what signs on the body this or that avatar (incarnation) of God is endowed. It is precisely by these and by the indications in the sacred scriptures that the coming of a prophet, a messenger or of God Himself is recognised. For example, Sathya Sai Baba, who is considered an incarnation of Shiva-shakti (the divine energy of Lord Shiva), has the corresponding signs on his body: the swastika, the lotus, the mace and others.
Lord Krishna, who was incarnated 5 thousand years ago on the Earth, had signs on his feet and palms, and also the sign of the srivatsa on his chest, belonging to the Supreme Divine Personality. There is such a legend that when Krishna related the “Bhagavad Gita” to Arjuna, his friend, the latter, struck with awe, exclaimed: “My dear Lord! Descendants will not believe that You Yourself appeared in this material world. Leave something in memory of Yourself”. Then Krishna stepped with his foot on a stone, and this stone preserved the imprint of Krishna's divine foot. In Vrindavan, in one of the holiest places of India, in an ancient temple this sacred stone is kept — the “Krishna-pada”, where the divine signs can be clearly distinguished.
The horoscope of Jesus Christ can serve as an example of hamsa yoga of Jupiter in the 7th house and of the astonishing accuracy of the predictions of jyotish.
Other opinions concerning Jupiter in the 7th house:
“Brihat Jataka” — the owner of the horoscope will surpass his father in his merits and achievements.
“Phaladipika” — a person with such a placement of Jupiter in the horoscope will have a good wife and children and will become more noble than his father.
“Saravali” — the one born will be handsome, will surpass his father, will become an orator, a poet, will occupy a high position and will receive fame thanks to his mind and education. Happiness in marriage awaits him.
“Chamatkar Chintamani” — the owner of the horoscope will become intelligent, strong, virtuous, chaste, very handsome and mighty. He will not show an interest in women who are not his wives and will be able to control his senses.
Note: All the authors agree that Jupiter in the 7th house gives very good results. The statements that the master of the horoscope will surpass his father are based on the fact that the 7th house is the eleventh from the 9th house.

The results of the placement of Jupiter (Guru) in the 7th house
If the teacher of the gods (Guru) is placed in the Bhava of the wife (the 7th Bhava), then the person receives joy from the reading of the Shastras. He is courteous by nature, very happy thanks to his wife and to wealth; he is an excellent adviser and poet.
Comments: Guru [Jupiter], being in the 7th Bhava [house], aspects the 11th Bhava, the Lagna Bhava and the 3rd Bhava, therefore the person's level of income is very high, he easily achieves success in his goals, possesses a majestic personality, enjoys physical health and receives the help of his younger brother and of partners. Jupiter in the 7th house is considered exceedingly favourable for greatness and prosperity.
The experienced astrologer Varaha Mihira said that such a person has more good qualities compared with his father. Besides this, he is handsome, possesses good taste, is strong and healthy, patient and generous.
