Such people take decisions more intuitively than on the basis of concrete knowledge. Usually their intuition is very strong.
Although Mercury still gives an analytical cast of mind. It is considered that they have a good memory. Their speech is usually fair; they can give valuable recommendations. Such people are generous, diplomatic, very creative; they have a good imagination and a kind heart. They have abilities for psychology.
Logical, systematic Mercury falls into a very abstract, watery, dual sign. Mercury is in its fall here. Such people are not too well educated; communication may be hard for them; there may be nervous breakdowns (in the 6th house practically always).

If Mercury is the Atmakaraka, or Mercury is in the 9th house, or there is an aspect of Jupiter upon Mercury, then in a past life the person worshipped Radharani.
Such people need to work on communication. The classics say that such people have abilities for telepathy, but they may yield to the influence of others. In ignorance they may be subject to neuroses and drug addiction; any ignorance is especially contraindicated for these people. They may have insincerity, cunning, imitativeness.
They may be very self-sacrificing, devoted, silent, good critics. Such people are often introverts, touchy; they need to learn to be more objective. The placement is more suited to poets than to scholars.
They may be inclined to depression, to focusing attention on negative points. They should try to be calmer and to live in goodness, not to watch television, to guard their reason from negative influence.
If Mercury is afflicted, then such people are morose, very restless and superficial; they have no mental calm. The horoscope represents our body; Pisces is the feet, and therefore such people often have cramps in the legs. It is important for them to keep their feet in a dry, warm place.

19.48. If Mercury is placed in Pisces, the person will protect another person's wealth, is devoted to the Gods and the Brahmins and is delighted at the sight of beautiful women.
Commentary: If Mercury is placed in the sign of Pisces, then it is in the Rashi of its debilitation. But if the karaka (significator) of the intellect is in the sign of a sattvic (benefic) planet such as Jupiter, then this makes the person an adherent of the Gods and the Brahmins. In the natural birth chart the sign of Pisces represents the marriage bed (sexual enjoyment). But the placement in this sign of a sexless planet such as Mercury points to obstacles in sexual pleasures.

Results of the aspect of the Sun upon Mercury placed in Sagittarius and Pisces: In the case of Mercury placed in Sagittarius or Pisces and aspected by Surya, the person will be stricken with an illness involving acute pain, epilepsy, diabetes and so on, will be deprived of companions and friends, and he will have a calm character.
