A long neck like a camel's, swollen veins and arteries, shaggy and thick hair, a long body, large feet, hips, buttocks, back, waist, face; stubborn, loves other people's wealth and other men's women, sinful, changeable fortune, surrounded by fresh flowers, fragrances and friends, enduring weariness on the road. When the Moon, the sign in which it is placed, and its ruler are strong, then the results indicated above are realised in full.
Commentary: B. S. Rao gives the following explanations. This interpretation applies in full in those cases where the Moon, the house in which it is placed, and the planet that rules it are all strong. If only two of these three factors are strong, the characteristics indicated will manifest only partly. If only one of these factors is strong, only traces of these influences will be noticeable. RESULTS OF THE PLACEMENT OF CHANDRA IN KUMBHA
If Chandra is in Kumbha, then the person will be lazy, very skilful, a scholar of a high level, of a calm character, will love another person's son and will destroy his enemies.
Commentary: The Rashi [sign] in which Chandra [the Moon] is placed at the time of birth is called «Chandra-Lagna» (Chandra as the Lagna). In Hora Shastra [predictive astrology] the Chandra-Lagna is just as important as the Lagna; its analysis is very important for understanding a person's inner personality. If the Chandra-Rashi (Chandra-Lagna) is stronger than the Rashi of the Lagna, then most of the events of life will be determined precisely by it (that is, by the Chandra-Rashi). Since Chandra is the Karaka [indicator] of the mind, the soul and the heart, the qualities of the Rashi and the qualities of the ruler of the Rashi in which Chandra is placed will definitely be present in the person's mind in the form of emotions; this is represented by the character and qualities of the Chandra-Rashi and of the ruler of the Chandra-Rashi.
Although the ruler of the Rashis Makara [Capricorn] and Kumbha [Aquarius] is one and the same — Shani [Saturn] — nevertheless Chandra will give completely different results in these two Rashis. The author of the book says that Chandra in the Rashi Kumbha makes a person lazy. As a rule, this is observed when there is some malefic influence upon the 6th Bhava [house].
A person with such a placement in his birth chart may in childhood suffer from dysentery owing to inflammation of the digestive organs, and he has a slight weakness in the region of the legs. If Chandra is in the Rashi Kumbha in the Lagna, then such results are often noticeable.
The favourable results of the placement of the Moon in Aquarius will be present in their fullness for the 11th Bhava. In this case the person will in general fulfil people's wishes, is endowed with humane qualities and will attain success in carrying out plans for improving the welfare of humanity.
Chandra in Kumbha in the 10th Bhava will give the person unusually significant achievements in his life. He will attain these achievements by hard labour, working constantly and methodically. And all these achievements are for himself. With this placement of Chandra public opinion is negative towards the native.
