The results given by Venus in the fourth house of the horoscope
Venus in the 4th house indicates the possession of various property, parental happiness, happiness in domestic life, friendship with people of art and strong romantic desires in the heart. These people may receive a good education, an inheritance, have good transport and live in picturesque, delightful places. They have religious inclinations, and good mothers, teachers, gardeners, decorators may come of them. They have a pure heart, it is easy to be near them. (Tom Hopke)
Venus in the fourth house: This is the most favourable house for Venus. Venus in the 4th house receives dik-bala. Dik is long, big; bala is strength. That is, in the 4th house Venus becomes very strong. The 4th house is the mother, the heart, the home, comfort, real estate, education. When Venus in the 4th house is not weakened, the person gets a comfortable, easy life. As a rule, he will have a beautiful, comfortable house, a beautiful motor car, and kind relations with his mother and other relatives. A very favourable placement for marriage. If the Venus mahadasha begins at an active age, the person will be able to accumulate a large fortune. If Venus is in Pisces, Taurus or Libra, a Malavya yoga is formed for him and the strength of Venus is strengthened still further. Venus in the 4th house gives attachment to the mother, to relatives, to the home town, to the home country. They have a very close and strong bond with their mother. For a long time they cannot forget their school, their childhood. They are drawn to bodies of water, they like swimming and fishing. They have calm, gentle, kind behaviour. But there is one drawback. Venus and the Moon receive Dik-bala in the 4th house. But they are watery planets and the 4th house is the lungs. Watery planets in the 4th house cause illnesses of the respiratory tract. Venus in its dik-bala house gives an easy, beautiful life into old age, if the ruler of the 4th house is also strongly placed. In order for Venus to be able to bring favourable results, it must not be in debilitation (in Virgo), in a dusthana (the 6th, 8th, 12th houses) or under the strong influence of malefics. “Bhrigu Sutra” 6.23-28
A person who has Venus in the 4th house of the horoscope will be handsome, intelligent, happy, friendly with his brothers and not vindictive. He will have an abundance of milk. At 30 he will acquire means of transport. If the lord of the 4th house is strong, the master of the horoscope will own horses, palanquins and gold. When the lord of the 4th house is joined with a malefic planet, or is in the house of an inauspicious planet or of his enemy, or in the sign of debilitation, the owner of the horoscope will be deprived of land and means of transport. His mother will be unhappy, and he will develop close relations with women who are not his wives.
Comments:
The placement of Venus in a kendra is quite favourable, especially with the strength of the lord of the 4th house. In that case the owner of the horoscope will be not only a well provided for person, but will also have objects of luxury (since an abundance of milk, palanquins and horses, according to the Vedic tradition, are attributes of great wealth). A person who has Venus occupying such a favourable position in the horoscope may receive an inheritance. He will have a good education and family happiness. The 4th house indicates the place of residence, and the presence of Venus in it speaks of a beautiful house or a picturesque locality in which the owner of the horoscope will live.
The placement of Venus in its own signs or in the sign of exaltation creates a beneficial malavya yoga, the results of which have already been described. Venus in the 4th house is very favourable for rising Virgo, Capricorn and Aquarius. In these cases it will be the mistress of the 2nd and 9th, of the 5th and 10th, of the 4th and 9th houses respectively and will form strong dhana yogas.
Other opinions concerning Venus in the 4th house:
“Brihat Jataka” — the owner of the horoscope will be happy.
“Phaladipika” — a beautiful house, ornaments, luxurious clothing, exquisite perfumery and comfortable means of transport.
“Saravali” — a person with Venus in the 4th house of the horoscope will become handsome and noble. He will own means of transport, a good house and will be happy with relatives and friends.
“Chamatkar Chintamani” ~ the owner of the horoscope will be better than others. He will receive many gifts from his followers. From the early years of life he will care for his mother.
Note: All the treatises ascribe favourable results to Venus being in the 4th house, but the sutras pay particular attention to the strength of the lord of the 4th house, in order to make a final judgement.

The results of the placement of Venus (Shukra) in the 4th house
If the Acharya [Teacher] of the demons (that is, Shukra) is placed in the 4th Bhava, then this will give the person numerous kinds of happiness (that is, happiness from friends, agriculture, his village, a means of transport), he is devoted to the gods and is always full of joy.
Comments: Shukra [Venus], placed in the 4th Bhava [house], will provide the person with many kinds of physical comfort. The person will be cultured and of good behaviour; courteous (polite, refined), skilful in behaviour, ethical, believing, and will give prudent advice. His intellect is capable of understanding art. He will perform various auspicious deeds for the people of his society, will receive considerable profit thanks to a means of transport, horned cattle, wealth and agriculture. But if Shukra is weak and subject to malefic influence, then the person will suffer from losses because of those same factors of profit, and his character becomes doubtful. Shukra [Venus] is the significator of the 4th Bhava [house]; therefore these kinds of results (favourable and unfavourable) will occur exceptionally quickly.
