Benefic planets in them make it possible to earn by an easier means, while malefic ones help in the attainment of financial well-being only in the case where the person agrees to trials and hard labour. The characteristics of the rulers of the nakshatras in which the planets occupying these houses are placed will indicate the profitable direction of activity, the manner and character of obtaining income. The planets that are in the Upachaya houses give positive results, while their rulers often do harm (the exception being the lord of the 10th house).
