Jupiter in the 9th house
The results given by Jupiter in the ninth house of the horoscope
Jupiter in the 9th house becomes very strong. This is an educational institution or a house where enlightened teachers are found. The person easily receives higher knowledge, the right path (dharma), happiness, fortune. No great difficulties arise in his life. He will have noble children and grandchildren. Because the 5th house is children, and the 5th house from the 5th house = the 9th house is the children of children (grandchildren). He is concentrated on receiving higher knowledge, lives by the commandments and gives knowledge to his pupils. He is very religious, kind and wants to help everyone. He relates with great respect to his teachers and elders. Society will respect him. Superiors can trust such people. Therefore the management often chooses such people for the chief posts. Parashara Muni said that such people win the hearts of kings. Those around him perceive him as a teacher. To the end of his life he will remain a spiritual person. Such a Jupiter gives success and longevity to the father. If Jupiter is damaged, the person may become an impractical religious fanatic. (Mahesh Dharmadasa)

The 9th house is the house of bhagya, of fortune, the very best house in the horoscope, and the presence of Jupiter in it is extraordinarily favourable. A person with such a placement of Jupiter in the horoscope may become a spiritual teacher and mentor, educated in the field of philosophy, law and religion. He will be sincere, truthful, financially well provided for and much travelled.
If Jupiter is placed in its own sign, a powerful raja yoga is formed (the lord of the 9th house in the 9th house). When Jupiter is in the sign of exaltation as the lord of the 2nd and 5th houses, and the lagna occupies the sign of Scorpio, a strong dhana yoga is formed.

The results of the placement of Jupiter (Guru) in the 9th house
If Guru is placed in the 9th Bhava, then the person becomes a minister to the king, does auspicious deeds, knows all the Shastras, is educated, follows the rules and is devoted to the Brahmins.
Comments: The 9th Bhava [house] is in full harmony with the true character of Guru [Jupiter] — the Teacher of the gods. If in this Bhava Guru is in a benefic Rashi [sign] and receives beneficial influences, then the person will be cultured, courteous and polite, modest in his behaviour, magnificent and famous, will become a benefactor for others and a favourite of the king, will lead a devout (spiritual) life, will receive joy from the veneration of learned people, will perform Yajnas, will engage in the mortification of the flesh <Tapasya>. Friends consider him a special person. His behaviour follows the traditions and customs of his lineage. He is sincere, pure and open in his behaviour, he is incapable of betrayal. Such are the peculiarities of the character of a person who has Jupiter in the 9th house. His heart is devoted to his Guru, to the gods, to his father and to respected people.
