Moon in Scorpio
Results given by the Moon in the sign of Scorpio
They acquire noticeable weight in commercial activity thanks to a considerable strength of will and to an absence of hesitation in making use of other people and disposing of them. They possess considerable staying power. They are good strategists, able to plan years ahead and to bring their plans to completion. They are hot-tempered, love rivalry; a possessive streak is present in their character. They keep both their misdeeds and their other affairs secret. They usually have a swarthy complexion, a body covered with hair; they are attached to the use of intoxicants.
The classical texts and my experience point to the following qualities in these people: they have large eyes, they suffer as a consequence of separation from their parents and teachers, they suffer from illnesses in the period of youth; they are not frank. Such people are receptive and perceptive, possess abilities for meditation, feel strongly, possess a strong personality and the ability to control themselves. They are hard to change or to convince of anything. They possess noticeable psychic strength and experience difficulties in relations with the mother. These people are poetic, sensitive and easily excitable. (Tom Hopke)
Chandra in Vrishchika (the Moon in Scorpio)
The Moon in Scorpio: Mars, which rules this sign, endows people whose Moon is placed in Scorpio with resolve, bravery, firmness of character and boldness. They are able to bring what they have begun to a conclusion, and in attaining their goals they may make use of other people and display harshness and cruelty. The Moon is debilitated in this sign, and therefore these people experience a feeling of loneliness and of unsureness of themselves; they may be two-faced, secretive, touchy and vengeful. Scorpio natives are very emotional and passionate. They may be envious, egoistic, hot-tempered and jealous. They are perceptive, possess a strong personality and great psychic strength, and experience problems in relations with the mother. (Indubala)
The Moon in Scorpio: a broad chest, strong emotions, extremely sensitive, sentimental, a miser, malicious, unhappy. (Sri Govind Swarup Agarwal)
The Moon in Scorpio
Wide eyes and chest, round knees, buttocks and hips, parted from his parents and guru, sickly in early childhood, respected by members of the royal family, [eyes or hair] of a honey colour, cruel, has marks in the shape of a fish, of the vajrayudha and of a bird, a secret sinner. (Varahamihira — «Brihat Jataka», 17.8)
The vajrayudha is the weapon of Indra, hurling thunderbolts, the thunderbolt made from the spine of the sage Dadhichi.
When the Moon, the sign in which it is placed, and its ruler are strong, then the results indicated above are realised in full.
Commentary: B. S. Rao gives the following explanations. This interpretation applies in full in those cases where the Moon, the house in which it is placed, and the planet that rules it are all strong. If only two of these three factors are strong, the characteristics indicated will manifest only partly. If only one of these factors is strong, only traces of these influences will be noticeable. Finally, if all of them are weak, then we shall not notice any coincidence with the interpretations given, even to a small degree. (Varahamihira — «Brihat Jataka», 17.13)

RESULTS OF THE PLACEMENT OF CHANDRA IN VRISHCHIKA
If Chandra is placed in Vrishchika, then the person's wealth will be destroyed through a government fine and games of chance. He will be quarrelsome, will engage in disputes, will be weak, with vicious inclinations, a weak will and devoid of balance of mind.
Commentary: The Rashi [sign] in which Chandra [the Moon] is placed at the time of birth is called «Chandra-Lagna’ (Chandra as the Lagna). In Hora Shastra [predictive astrology] the Chandra-Lagna is just as important as the Lagna; its analysis is very important for understanding a person's inner personality. If the Chandra-Rashi (Chandra-Lagna) is stronger than the Rashi of the Lagna, then most of the events of life will be determined precisely by it (that is, by the Chandra-Rashi). Since Chandra is the Karaka [indicator] of the mind, the soul and the heart, the qualities of the Rashi and the qualities of the ruler of the Rashi in which Chandra is placed will definitely be present in the person's mind in the form of emotions; this is represented by the character and qualities of the Chandra-Rashi and of the ruler of the Chandra-Rashi.
If Chandra is in Vrishchika [Scorpio] in the 4th Bhava [house] (in the Bhava of the mind and the emotions), and the ruler of the 4th Bhava occupies its Rashi of debilitation, or if the ruler of the 4th Bhava is in the 8th Bhava, then the person's mind will, as a rule, be vicious. He will be quarrelsome, subject to harmful habits, irrational, egoistic, and will cause pain to the hearts of other people. Therefore, when analysing the placement of Chandra [the Moon] one must study the 4th Bhava [house] and the ruler of the 4th Bhava.
