In the case of a conjunction with a malefic planet or of its aspect the master of the horoscope will have difficulties and obstacles in his undertakings. According to the “Bhrigu Sutra”, Venus in the 10th house gives very favourable
results, if it is not afflicted. As the kalatra-karaka, Venus in this house may speak of a marriage with a well-known or influential person. From the 10th house Venus beneficially aspects the 4th house — the house of the family and of education, therefore a person with such a placement of Venus in the horoscope will have his own house and car, will be born into a good family, will receive a high education, and will have contacts with people from the higher strata of society. The 10th house is the house of the profession, of ambitions and of social activity. Therefore Venus being in it gives abilities in art, music, painting, and brings successes in show business.
Strong dhana yogas, granting wealth and prosperity, will arise in the cases of Virgo, Capricorn, Aquarius and Cancer rising, when Venus will be the mistress of the 2nd and 9th, of the 5th and 10th, of the 4th and 9th, of the 4th and 11th houses respectively. With the placement of Venus in its own sign a raja yoga arises (the lord of the 10th in the 10th house), and its results will be the most favourable. Besides, being in its own or exalting signs, Venus forms a malavya yoga, the results of which have already been described.
Being a beneficial planet and being placed in a kendra from the ascendant, Venus creates an amala yoga, the characteristics of which are the following: “The owner of the horoscope will attain lasting fame and a good reputation. His character will be irreproachable, and his life — prosperous”.
