Saturn in the sign of Cancer. This is a sign hostile to Saturn, which may be expressed in illnesses during the period of childhood, frequent changes of residence, and a stubborn and pessimistic cast of mind. This is one of the worst places for Saturn. Cancer is the generator of thoughts and emotions. Saturn in Cancer does not let the person release outwards the emotional flow that takes place in the subtle body. The emotions accumulate, which causes mental imbalance and depression. In childhood these people often fall ill and do not receive the necessary attention, care and love. Having become adults, they try in every way to see that their children do not pass along the same road as they did. Therefore they worry a great deal and care for the members of their family. Domestic cosiness is very important to them. They must learn to forget old grievances and to forgive. Often they die far from home, or their death is connected with movement, the sea or liquid.
When Leo Tolstoy was born, Saturn was in Cancer. A few years after his birth his mother and father died. He grew up without parental love. In November 1910 L. N. Tolstoy secretly left his home and set off by train to the south. On the train he fell ill and was obliged to get off and stay in the house of the stationmaster, where he died.
Another example of Saturn in Cancer is John Kennedy, who in childhood lay in hospital for months with asthma. He was killed while riding in a car (in movement — the sign of Cancer). These people are considered very patriotic. Hitler too was born at a moment when Saturn was in Cancer. He too had a hard childhood. Four of his five brothers died in early childhood.
