Results given by the Moon in the sign of Pisces

According to the Brihat Jataka, a person with the Moon in Pisces will «trade in the products of the sea or earn money working in transport. He will make use of other people's property; he will have a fine, excellently built body and a large head. He will love beautiful clothes. Such people will be strongly influenced by the other sex; they will have very beautiful eyes and a fair complexion. They will enjoy the possession of a hidden treasure or of knowledge not valued by ordinary people». These people are handsome, carry themselves with dignity and deserve trust. (Tom Hopke)

Chandra in Mina (the Moon in Pisces)

The Moon in Pisces: People whose Moon is placed in Pisces are handsome, filled with a sense of their own dignity, observant and receptive. They find it hard to take a decision or make a choice. They are sensitive, emotional, sometimes biased. Often their feelings influence their views and judgements. They are romantic and dreamy, slightly absent-minded, have an easy, yielding character; they find it hard to say «no»; they may seem weak, but once they have resolved upon something they do not give way. They have a kind heart; they are generous, magnanimous, glad to be of service. (Indubala)

The Moon in Pisces: extremely sensitive, clairvoyant, a weakness for alcohol, falls into dependencies, a dreamer, cannot reconcile himself with the surrounding reality. (Sri Govind Swarup Agarwal)

The Moon in Pisces

Enjoys other people's wealth and things of the sea, loves his wife and clothes, a beautiful body with good proportions, a protruding nose, a large head, conquers enemies, submits to women, enchanting eyes, enjoys treasures found in a hoard and shining things, wealthy and educated. (Varahamihira — «Brihat Jataka», 17.12)

When the Moon, the sign in which it is placed, and its ruler are strong, then the results indicated above are realised in full.

Commentary: B. S. Rao gives the following explanations. This interpretation applies in full in those cases where the Moon, the house in which it is placed, and the planet that rules it are all strong. If only two of these three factors are strong, the characteristics indicated will manifest only partly. If only one of these factors is strong, only traces of these influences will be noticeable. Finally, if all of them are weak, then we shall not notice any coincidence with the interpretations given, even to a small degree. (Varahamihira — «Brihat Jataka», 17.13)

RESULTS OF THE PLACEMENT OF CHANDRA IN MINA

A person in whose birth chart Chandra is in Mina will subdue his senses, will possess many qualities, will be skilful, will love to play in the water, will possess a pure and clear intellect, will respect the art of weapons and blades; his body is weak.

Commentary: The Rashi [sign] in which Chandra [the Moon] is placed at the time of birth is called «Chandra-Lagna’ (Chandra as the Lagna). In Hora Shastra [predictive astrology] the Chandra-Lagna is just as important as the Lagna; its analysis is very important for understanding a person's inner personality. If the Chandra-Rashi (Chandra-Lagna) is stronger than the Rashi of the Lagna, then most of the events of life will be determined precisely by it (that is, by the Chandra-Rashi). Since Chandra is the Karaka [indicator] of the mind, the soul and the heart, the qualities of the Rashi and the qualities of the ruler of the Rashi in which Chandra is placed will definitely be present in the person's mind in the form of emotions; this is represented by the character and qualities of the Chandra-Rashi and of the ruler of the Chandra-Rashi.

Both the Rashi Mina [the sign Pisces] and the Graha Chandra represent water. This combination will give receptivity, but also deprives one of strength for struggle. As a consequence, laziness will become a constant quality of such a person. On the other hand he will have imaginative thinking, emotionality, a liberal and peaceable character; he will love beauty, desire comfort and enjoy it, and sympathise with others. Such people are unable to live in unfavourable conditions of life.
