Extremely unfavourable states of the planets

The inauspiciousness of planets is intensified in the following cases:

— Combust planets, as well as those defeated in a planetary war, show themselves poorly.

— Debilitated planets, with the exception of retrograde ones, work badly.

— One should not lose sight of the placement in the horoscope of the significators (karakas) of the houses.

— The placement of rulers/karakas in the 8th bhava worsens the significations of the houses for which they are responsible.

— Placement in the 8th house is unfavourable for all planets except Mercury and Saturn. Mercury here gives prosperity and Saturn a long life, but in other areas favourable effects should not be expected from them.
