Bhrigu-bindu, or the «Point of Destiny» in a horoscope
The point placed exactly between Rahu and the Moon is called the Bhrigu-bindu. To find this virtual sensitive point, one must add up the degrees of longitude of the Moon and of Rahu (counted from the beginning of the sign of Aries) and divide the sum by 2. When a benefic/malefic planet passes over this point in transit or aspects it, some good/bad event occurs in the person’s life.

THE BHRIGU-BINDU and TRANSITS OVER THE «POINT OF DESTINY»
In Vedic astrology there is one rare technique — the Bhrigu-Bindu, named thus in honour of the Greatest Sage, Bhrigu. The Bhrigu-Bindu is a very important and sensitive point in the birth chart.
The Bhrigu bindu is a mathematical point between the Moon and Rahu; one may say that it signifies the mission, the work that a person must accomplish in his life. The Bhrigu Bindu shows who you really are and how you can fulfil your destiny.
In the analysis of charts for the choice of a profession this point plays a great role. When you begin to follow that sphere of life, that house in which the Bhrigu Bindu stands, it may well be that life will unexpectedly begin to play with new colours.
And it may even be some single event — for example, to build a school. But most often it is connected with the career.
The point can be found in the Jagannatha Hora program (the latest, 8th version); it is there among the planets and other important points.
Connected with the Bhrigu-Bindu point is a technique that belongs to the secrets of ‘Nadi Jyotisha’, a unique system of astrology developed by the Great sages centuries ago. Even today there are many valuable manuscripts gathering dust in the eastern libraries in Baroda, Pune, Madras, Mysore, Trivandrum, Varanasi. The manuscripts of ‘Nadi Jyotisha’ contain certain secrets that can rarely be met with in other sources. Thanks to the labours of some modern astrologers deeply interested in Jyotish, for example Chandulal S. Patel, various Nadi Granthas and rare old books have been translated from Devanagari (and other local languages) into English. Many new techniques, unknown before that, were discovered there. Only after research did they prove their correctness.
One of such secrets is the technique of the Bhrigu-Bindu, described in the ‘Bhrigu-Nandi Nadi’. This is prediction based on the results of the transits of planets over the imaginary midpoint between the Moon and Rahu, which is called the Bhrigu-bindu.
When any planet, benefic or malefic by its nature (including Rahu and Ketu), passes over or aspects the Bhrigu-bindu — the «Point of Destiny» during a transit, events corresponding to the nature of the passing planets occur.
If there are two or more such planets, the results will be still more pronounced.
Several benefic planets strengthen the beneficence of the events, and conversely, malefic ones (by their nature) will increase the perniciousness of the events.
The Bhrigu-bindu point is useful and convenient for everyone, even for those who do not know the exact time of their birth.
A conjunction (or an aspect) with various planets over the Bhrigu-bindu point will bring the following results:
JUPITER
The slow movement of Jupiter over the Bhrigu-bindu will give such favourable results as a wedding, the birth of a child, success in study (research), a good job, a promotion, profit in business, recovery (if one has been ill for a long time), a pilgrimage, the fulfilment of cherished desires and so on.
MERCURY and VENUS
The rapid movement of these planets will give the following favourable results: pleasant meetings and journeys, profit, celebrations and a good mood and so on.
SATURN
The slow movement of this planet may cause harm to the person himself, a long illness, a quarrel (disagreement) with the spouse, her illness, a sudden loss of wealth, the death of close people and so on.
THE SUN and MARS
The rapid movement of these planets may cause a minor illness or wound, quarrels and a temporary separation from close relatives, a loss of money and so on.
RAHU and KETU
Here there may be sudden unfavourable results, on a large scale and from unexpected sources, such as a bite by a snake or by venomous insects, mental sufferings, a quarrel with superiors, the theft of valuables, persecution, the loss of a job, family disagreements, quarrels with the spouse and so on.
