The conjunction Rahu + Saturn
It strengthens Saturn, the capacity for work and endurance, but may give a very emotional and even depressive nature in the watery signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). In the earthy signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) it may give practicality but emotional dryness and hardness (if there is a link with Mars). In the airy signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) it may give a philosophical, detached nature — especially in Aquarius. In the fiery signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) it may give dictators, politicians or fanatics.
Usually the combination Rahu + Saturn creates difficulties for the indications of the house in which it stands, but afterwards the situation gradually improves. In the 2nd house, for instance, it may give great financial trouble at first, which gradually goes away. Even so, this combination gives a good effect only for the non-living indications of the house. The living ones suffer.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky, a politician. The Lagna is Gemini, and the Lagnesha Mercury stands in the 10th in fall, but in a kendra. The AK Jupiter is in Virgo — he lectures and criticises everyone. In D9 the AK is Vargottama (Virgo) and moreover stands with Mars. He takes an active and at times aggressive position. A debilitated Mars in the 2nd — sharp speech. Rahu with Saturn in the Lagna, with the Lagnesha Mercury debilitated. A difficult and unbalanced personality.
In D9 the link of Rahu with Saturn is preserved through an aspect of Rahu.
An exalted Sun in the 11th with a weak Moon in the 8th under an aspect of Mars. A self-assured but
emotionally unbalanced personality.

Rahu + Saturn
A weak Saturn and a strong Rahu give an illusory perception of difficulties. As a rule the person does not understand what to do with problems. Hard situations in life and losses are perceived in a distorted light, and the person cannot draw the right conclusions. A difficult combination for life, since it deprives the person outright of life wisdom, patience and humility before the plan of life.
But if Saturn is stronger than Rahu, there are no difficulties that the person would not accept and overcome. The order and the inner cleanliness are striking. A high degree of non-attachment to material events. Expectations are practically absent, and this creates inner peace and an acceptance of life as it is.
