The conjunction Rahu + the Moon
The conjunction Rahu + the Moon strengthens the lunar energy and the mind. Extrasensory abilities and heightened intuition may show themselves; this is especially so in the watery signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) and in Aquarius. If the Moon is weak by sign or by house (in the sign of Scorpio or in the 6th, 8th or 12th houses), this may cause mental disorders, fears, neuroses, psychoses, nightmares and emotional imbalance. A leaning towards hallucinations, paranoia and a wish for solitude may show themselves.
When the Moon is strong, this combination will strengthen the house in which the yoga stands. In the 12th house, for instance, Rahu + the Moon may make the person a seer or a prophet, and may give life abroad.

The Lagna is Scorpio in D1 and in D9. The Lagna becomes Vargottama, making him an unambiguous Scorpio. The Lagnesha Mars stands with Mercury in the 11th in Virgo under an aspect of Jupiter. The gift of an analyst, a writer, a philosopher. The theme of inner struggle and the idea of the superman dominated.
The debilitated Moon (the atma-karaka and the lord of the 9th) stands in the Lagna with Rahu. Heightened emotionality, mental imbalance, and at the same time the Sun in fall in the 12th, and in D9 as well. But the lord of the 9th in the 1st can give wide fame. Both luminaries are in fall in D1 and in D9. By the rule of Vargottama the Sun and the Moon should be strong. For the Moon this rule works, since it stands in the Lagna and receives an aspect of Jupiter.
The position of the Sun is complicated by the fact that it stands in marana-avastha. The Sun has papa-kartari from Mars and Rahu and the 10th aspect of Saturn. This gives poor health.
He suffered from insomnia and migraine. By the age of 30 he was almost blind. His digestion suffered (three malefics afflict the 5th house by aspect — Saturn, Rahu and Mars). During the period of the Sun his reason clouded over and he was placed in an asylum for the mentally ill.

Rahu in the 4th house from the Moon damages the health of the mother, in the 7th from the Moon it upsets marital happiness, and in the 10th it creates obstacles in professional activity.
If Rahu stands in a sign of the Moon or in the 3rd, 9th or 10th houses from the Moon, the person lives like a king and becomes fabulously rich in old age.
Rahu in the 6th or the 12th from the Moon promises power, prosperity and landed property.
A person with natal Rahu in the 4th or the 10th house from the Moon is often ill, which troubles the parents.
Rahu in the 2nd or the 12th from the Moon makes the person shameless and poor.
The placement of Rahu in the 5th house from the Moon increases the risk of car accidents and of misfortunes connected with water.
The combination of Rahu, the Moon and Mercury clouds the thinking and instils extreme mistrustfulness in the person.
The Lagnesha or the Moon in a watery sign under the influence of Rahu causes eczema.

Rahu + the Moon
If Rahu destroys the Moon, the processes of perceiving thoughts, emotions and inner states are disturbed. Outward activity in events overshadows reflection upon the inner world. It is hard to understand what is going on inside because of the fast rhythm of life. Stops and an examination of the states of consciousness are needed.
Difficulties in understanding deep feelings and emotions. Emotions are lived through quickly and superficially. There is a lack of deep experience.
If the Moon is stronger than Rahu, qualities of hypersensitivity to the surrounding world show themselves. Such people notice what most others do not see and become, to a certain extent, psychics (in the positive sense of the word).
