In other words, there lies the sphere of interests of the owner of the horoscope, and that planet which is placed in the 1st house, and also those houses which it owns (in this case the 7th house), come as it were to be in the person’s heart.
For example, the lord of the 4th house in the 1st house may give great love for the mother. Here the lord of the 7th house in the 1st house — the spouse is in the person’s heart, and this, as a rule, gives a marriage for love. Of course, one must also look at what planet it is. Mainly this holds for the 1st marriage, and perhaps also for the 2nd marriage — usually the 2nd marriage too is for love. Because the 7th house is the framework, it is determinative for all the person’s marriages; it is like a foundation for the subsequent marriages too.

The lord of the 7th in the 1st: the partner finds the person himself and he has to do nothing for this, but there is also a reverse side. In order for the partner to find you, you must be something in yourself. If you do not work on and develop matters of personality and image (the 1st house), then most likely the partner will not simply find you. This is a twofold placement: on the one hand, it seems, the partner finds you, but in order for him to find you, you need to do something in this life, not to sit still, to develop, to work on yourself, to invest in your appearance, to realise personal tasks and aims, for instance. And only in that case will your partner find you himself. But if such a person simply lies about on the sofa, then most likely nobody will need him with such a placement. BPHS 26.73: If the ruler of the 7th bhava falls into the Lagna, then the native will go to other men’s wives, will be immoral, skilful, will be devoid of steadfastness (strength of spirit) and afflicted by diseases of Vata.
Comments: With the Mina Lagna the ruler of the 7th bhava will be Buddha, which will be in the Lagna in its rashi of debilitation. Therefore with this Lagna the native will to a great degree obtain the ruinous results described in the shloka.
Disease due to Vata will occur only with the Makara and Kumbha Lagnas, because with these Lagnas the 7th bhava is ruled by Chandra or Surya respectively, which will be the ruler of the 7th bhava only. Each of them, being the ruler of only one rashi, cannot extend its power to another bhava. For the 7th bhava Vata (wind) is the predominant Maha bhuta. For the Makara or Kumbha Lagna, ruled by Shani (which itself possesses a Vata nature), the predominant element will also be Vata. Therefore with these Lagnas the ruler of the 7th bhava, placed in the Lagna, will become the cause of the native’s body having a Vata constitution; and consequently, because of the predominance of the element of Vata, the native will be afflicted by its diseases.
As a consequence of ruling over the 7th bhava, Chandra and Surya will be conductors of Vata dosha. If the ruler of the 7th bhava (the bhava of sexual life) is placed in the Lagna (in the bhava of the body as a whole), then one may conclude that the native has a considerable desire for sex, but it is not clear why such a person should have relations with another man’s wife: this combination is met very often. In fact this happens because of the other rashi of the ruler of the 7th bhava. The second rashi of those grahas which are rulers of two rashis will invariably be placed in such a bhava as will make the native go to another man’s wife. With the Makara and Kumbha Lagnas, if there is no other combination for going to another man’s wife, such a result will be absent; because the ruler of the 7th bhava with these Lagnas will be the ruler of only one bhava. People with these Lagnas may be sexual, but they will not be inclined to go to other men’s wives.

This placement indicates that you will have much strength to struggle with other people who will come into your life. They will not try to take control over you, as the Sun would do. They will fight with you. They will irritate you in order to make you fight with them. And this kind of fighting will be like a real skirmish. Your personality will constantly be subjected to agitation on their part. You will encounter people who will be charged up to enter into constant skirmishes with you. There will be more and more people who are aggressive. Such people are people with the mentality of a soldier, and they will try all the time to change your personality so that you become like them.

I always attract to myself the most problematic and aggressive, power-loving people, who try to control me”.
