Jimi Hendrix
A left-handed guitarist who played a restrung right-handed instrument and made feedback, distortion and the howl of the amplifier part of the musical language. Three studio records in four years, Monterey and Woodstock — all of it fitted into a short span. He died in London on 18 September 1970, aged twenty-seven.
Born in Seattle on 27 November 1942 at 10:15 Pacific War Time: from February 1942 until the end of the war the United States kept the clocks an hour forward the year round. The hour is taken from the birth certificate.
