The lord of the 2nd house in the 7th house of the horoscope
“Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra” (chapter 26): “In the case of the ruler of the 2nd bhava occupying the 7th bhava, the native will be inclined to go to another man’s wife; he will be a physician. If the ruler of the 2nd bhava in the 7th bhava is in conjunction with or is aspected by a malefic graha, then his wife will have a dubious character (she will have a bad reputation, she may be a prostitute or the like)”.
Comments: The 2nd bhava is the bhava of attractiveness, charm and attraction. Before love for any woman arises, it is necessary that there be an attraction to her. This attraction will take only the form of sexual pleasures if the ruler of the 2nd bhava (the ruler of the bhava of attraction) is placed in the 7th bhava (the bhava of sexual pleasures). Therefore this combination often proves true. The 2nd bhava is the 8th from the bhava of the spouse (from the 7th bhava). Therefore this bhava indicates the secret inclinations and properties of the spouse.

The placement of the ruler of the 2nd in the 7th house may give the following results:
- the means of sustaining oneself come through a partnership of any kind — marriage, business and so on (exactly which kind will be indicated by the planet that is the ruler of the 2nd house);
- the person is inclined rather to rely on the partner in money matters and is inclined to help him in obtaining income (both in the positive and in the negative sense);
- they value and respect the opinion of other people and cooperation with them;
- a family business with the partner;
- forced/voluntary expenditures on the spouse.
