Veshi Yoga

Veshi Yoga occurs when any planet, except the Moon, occupies the second house from the Sun.

Those born with this yoga are truthful, lazy, kind-hearted, inclined towards virtue, have slanted eyes, tall stature, harmonious worldview, good memory, and moderate wealth.

When benefic planets form this yoga, the native will be eloquent, wealthy, and will defeat their opponents.

When malefic planets form this yoga, the native will be needy and associated with evil people.

This yoga is equivalent to Sunapha Yoga in Chandra Yoga. Depending on the number of planets forming this yoga, there are thirty-one variations of this yoga, just like in the case of Sunapha Yoga. Like in the case of Chandra Yoga, Rahu and Ketu are not considered active components of Ravi Yoga.

The results of Veshi Yoga vary depending on the planet forming it.
- Mars: Heroism in battle, skilled in chariot riding, renowned.
- Mercury: Articulate speaker, dignified, capable of deceiving others.
- Jupiter: Balanced character, truthful, wise, fearless in battle.
- Venus: Widely known, deserving of respect, possesses many virtues, courageous.
- Saturn: Engaged in business, inclined to deceive others for personal gain, harbors ill will towards ancestors.

The results of Veshi Yoga, like the other two solar yogas, should be carefully analyzed. The results depend on the strength and nature of the planets forming the yoga, the houses they rule, the houses they are located in, and the influence of other planets on them.

The Sun is a planet of strength and energy. It is characterized by dominance, dignity, and the ability to govern. Planets in the second house from the Sun help it fulfill its functions. In other words, the Sun extracts qualities from the planets it is located in the twelfth house.

In Chart VIII-1, two benefic planets, Jupiter and Venus, are located in the second house from the Sun. A person born with this chart will be a medical doctor holding a high administrative position. The combination of Jupiter-Venus from the Sun represents the combination of the ruler of the ascendant with the ruler of the eleventh house in the second house, indicating financial stability.

It should be noted that the Moon does not support the formation of Kemadruma Yoga. Although the Moon cancels Kemadruma Yoga, the placement of a lonely Moon in the fourth house deprives a person of some domestic comfort. She was away from her husband for a long time.

Chart VIII-2 belongs to Acharya Rajneesh, a famous and well-known modern spiritual teacher who advocates his own unique, albeit controversial, method of "Sadhana" or spiritual practice.

A powerful Veshi Yoga with four planets, excluding the Moon, in the second house from the Sun is formed in the eighth house from the ascendant. Acharya Rajneesh was strong due to Mars, the protector of his spiritual practice. Anyone who spoke with him was swayed by the absolute force of his arguments, thanks to Mercury, which did not always align with conventional norms. He was respected among his numerous followers, thanks to Venus. He accumulated immense wealth from the donations of his many followers, thanks to Saturn, many of whom were wealthy foreigners. In his unconventional pursuits, he actually criticized all the renowned teachers coming from Krishna. The accumulation of a large number of planets in the eighth house from the ascendant made him follow a path of dissent from conventional norms. Jupiter in the eighth house from the Moon forms Shakata Yoga, which usually indicates suffering and poverty. The native experiences struggle and instability in their luck. However, the Moon and Jupiter participate in a mutual exchange of houses, and Jupiter, exalted in the third house, mitigates many of the negative consequences of Shakata Yoga.
