Duradhara Yoga

When planets, except the Sun, occupy both the second house and the twelfth house from the Moon, Duradhara Yoga is formed.

A person born with Duradhara Yoga gains fame for their good speech, scholarship, heroism, and virtue. Yoga bestows immense wealth, means of transportation, land, servants, physical comforts, and independence from enemies. They engage in charity and desire to associate with women with beautiful eyes.

Duradhara Yoga emphasizes on possession and accumulation (created by a planet or planets in the second house) on one hand, and expenses and pleasures (created by a planet or planets in the twelfth house) on the other hand.

Depending on whether one or more planets are in the second or twelfth houses from the Moon, 180 variations of Duradhara Yoga can be formed:
- One planet in the second house and one in the twelfth house, 20 variations.
- One planet in the second house and two planets in the twelfth house, or two planets in the second house and one planet in the twelfth house, 60 variations.
- One planet in the second house and three planets in the twelfth house, or three planets in the second house and one planet in the twelfth house, 40 variations.
- One planet in the second house and four planets in the twelfth house, or four planets in the second house and one planet in the twelfth house, 10 variations.
- Two planets in the second house and two planets in the twelfth house, 30 variations.
- Two planets in the second house and three planets in the twelfth house, or three planets in the second house and two planets in the twelfth house, 20 variations.

The results produced by Duradhara Yoga depend on the nature of the planets surrounding the Moon. The results of different pairs of planets forming Duradhara Yoga are described below:
- Mars and Mercury. Deceptive, wealthy, talented, angry, fault-finding, greedy, respected by their own family, fond of older promiscuous women.
- Mars and Jupiter. Famous and wealthy, easily irritated, generally satisfied, protective of their loved ones, tired of their enemies, accumulating their own earned wealth.
- Mars and Venus. Stately, valiant, athletic, inclined towards debates, pious, wealthy, highly qualified, blessed with a beautiful wife.
- Mars and Saturn. Engaging in illicit relationships, involved in evil deeds, easily irritated, treacherous, wealthy, destroyer of enemies, without remorse.
- Mercury and Jupiter. Inclined towards religiosity, knowledgeable in manuscripts, eloquent, wealthy, poet, widely known.
- Mercury and Venus. Sweet-talking, good-looking, fond of dance and music, with a risky temperament, minister, respectful of orders.
- Mercury and Saturn. Earning money by moving from one country to another, poorly or moderately educated, opposing their friends or relatives.
- Jupiter and Venus. Blessed with wisdom and fearlessness, devoted, successful, possesses a royal demeanor, highly renowned, honest.
- Jupiter and Saturn. Blessed with comfort, modest, sweet-talking, highly learned, wealthy, good-looking, and possessing a calm nature.
- Venus and Saturn. Talented and wealthy, having a kingly disposition, mature in thinking, head of their family, liked by women.

The results of Duradhara Yoga occur when the planets forming the yoga occupy:
- Their own house or friendly houses.
- Signs of their exaltation.
- Their own house or friendly houses in the Navamsa chart.
