Danda Yoga

All the planets are placed in four houses from the tenth house to the lagna. A person born with this yoga will be needy, servile, rejected, deprived of comfort and hard-hearted. This yoga involves the houses connected with work (the tenth house), income (the eleventh house), expenditure, residence in distant lands, spiritual activity (the twelfth house) and health (the first house). The planets placed in the arc of the houses of Danda yoga fall into the visible part of the zodiacal circle and are located overhead. A person born with this yoga may become a wanderer and be connected with activity in the open air. This yoga does not deal with questions of possessing the material. In the modern interpretation, international relations and work connected with foreign countries fall under the influence of this yoga.
